On December 6th, our regular Troop meeting will be held at the Atkinson Town Pool at the Fairbanks Community Center. Please make sure to arrive promptly at 7:30pm (our usual meeting time) with your permission slip signed by a parent or guardian. If you do not come with a signed slip, you will not be allowed in the pool. Scouts should be picked up at the pool at 9pm. We will be conducting swim tests and rescue training for all scouts who have this as a requirement for rank advancement. There will also be time for free swim after the testing.
For all scouts and adults going on Seabase, this is the first of several trips we will be making to the pool to ensure that we all pass the swim test in Florida. We want to be certain that everyone passes the test with a show of strong swimming capabilities, otherwise you will be returning home much more quickly than you would like.
If you have questions, please email Asst. Scoutmaster Hans Helgeson at hans.helgeson@verizon.net
Check out the World Scouting Jamboree!
Mr Williamson found this site, and thought scouts and parents alike would find it very interesting. It has a great deal of information all about the Jamboree, and it’s a fun read. So, check it out!
