Welcome to Troop 61

Sorry if you get this twice = Sunday morning Trunk and gear transport

Announcements — December 14, 2007 @ 5:42 pm

Hi all,

You may be on two lists, sorry if you get this message twice.

Jack McGee has generously offered to drive Scouts’ trunks and heavy gear to camp
on Sunday morning in his van. I am waiting to hear a definite time, (it has
something to do with a Red Sox game!) but it’s either 8:00am or 9:00am and I
will let you know. We will meet in Fairbanks parking lot as before. If
necessary, you can reach me by cell that morning: 508-380-4260

Remember, you have to leave your car at the parking lot gate at Resolute, and
it’s a bit of a hike up to Apache, especially if you’re carrying a heavy load.

We can only bring two cars into camp in the morning, and they have to absolutely
be out by 11:00am, so we’re operating under a deadline.

But it’s easier to transport some of the scout gear as well - and I could use a
little help from some of the older (read “bigger”) scouts, to move patrol boxes,
flags, rope, tarps and general gear that we will need over the week as well as
the individual trunks for some of the younger scouts. If anyone can lend us a
dolly to move some firewood it would be appreciated. I could pick it up on Sat.
The firewood’s in my yard.

All help appreciated.

Watch for emails with correct time to meet on Sunday, or call me.

Updated 2007 Parent Guide to Summer Camp - URL is http://troop61.info/ResoluteParentGuide2007.pdf

Several parents mentioned to me they didn’t have a current copy of this
year’s

Parent Guide to Summer Camp, and they had some trouble finding it. It is on our
website, WWW.Troop61.info, but I thought it also might be easier for people if I
just included it here. Our website is a great resource and there are often
postings of interest on it from one or another of us, and it might be worthwhile
bookmarking it or checking it frequently, or making it your
homepage……………..OK, OK, maybe that’s going a little too far. In any
case, here’s the guide:

Thanks,
Anne

PS it also has an additional copy of all the forms.

Sunday meeting time at Frairbanks is 8:00am for transporting trunks

Two Uniform shirts left behind at Summer Camp

Announcements — December 14, 2007 @ 5:42 pm

There were two uniform shirts left behind at summer camp :

one Adult Men’s size Small, with no patches but a small hole in the left pocket,

and another Adult Men’s size Large, with red shoulder bands, troop 61 and Knox
trail patches, and on the left pocket a circle of glue like a patch had been
ironed on perhaps and was missing.

If these are yours, let me know and I’ll put it in your mailbox.

Thanks,

Anne Fogarty

SUMMER CAMPERS - BRING YOUR SCOUT MANUAL TO COURT OF HONOR WED. VERY

Announcements — June 4, 2007 @ 8:26 am

Hi All,

For those of you going to Summer Camp this summer, bring your Scout Manual to
the meeting / Court of Honor this Wed night! It’s very important. We want to be
sure we are working on your advancement while you’re at camp, and to do this
best I need to know what requirements you need to work on — so I can be sure to
have a teacher/adult leader there for you prepared to teach the requirements you
need!

Even if you’re already a First Class Scout, please bring your manual Wed night
because I will want to know what rank you’re working on and also who you can
teach! Remember, any Scout who is First Class or above can teach any younger
Scout any of the requirements to get him to First Class.

And please be sure to see me with your manual. It will take me two seconds to
check off what requirements you’re looking for and will help us a lot to plan
for you.

And don’t forget - Full dress uniform, Scout shirt, khaki/green pants, Red scarf
- the whole samolian!

See you on Wed!

Mrs. Fogarty
(Anne)
