Hi everyone.
Thanks to those who have RSVP’d. For those of you who have not, please
let me know as soon as possible whether or not you will be attending
Chris Doty’s Eagle Court of Honor on Nov. 11.
I will be at this week’s meeting with the programs for the court of
honor. If any adults are available, would you mind helping me wrap
ribbons around the programs? We have 100 programs and it should take no
time at all with a little help. I appreciate any help I can get!
Thanks! Lisa
Hello Everyone!
Since the scouts are able to get credit for service hours for doing
this, please contact me when your scout is done and tell me the
number of hours spent doing this service and the number of bags
collected. I will then report these numbers to council and to Lisa P.
Thanks again-
Cathy:)
Hi everyone.
This is a reminder from Don Lund about the orienteering program offered
this weekend at Nobscott. There are two days offered, Saturday and
Sunday, and your scout can participate in both days or just one of the
days. Meet at the church at 8:30 each morning. Don and Lou Teig will
take the boys over to Nobscott and bring them back to their homes around
noon each day. Scouts need to bring a daypack with a bag lunch and a
drink, probably a water or a sports drink. Wear hiking boots (and
appropriate raingear for Saturday).
Scouting magazine will be there photographing and would like to see boys
in Class A uniforms. This is optional, however.
One of the requirements for 1st class is orienteering so this is a good
opportunity for any scout working towards their 1st Class rank.
Any questions, please call Don Lund at 978-443-7021.
Thanks! Lisa
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to let everyone know that our Scouting for Food event is coming
up this week! At the Court of Honor on Wed., Oct. 25, I will be
available for the distribution of both bags and flyers, and to answer
any questions you may have. If you are unable to make the Court of Honor
but would like to participate, you may come by my house at 50 Austin
Road to pick up bags/flyers outside my garage in a box.
This event is a wonderful way to help local needy families at a time of
year when we all celebrate all that we are thankful for. On the first
Saturday,Oct. 28, you distribute bags with flyers inside to
mailboxes/doorknobs of your neighbors’ homes. On the following Sat.,
Nov.4, you go back around to collect anything that was given and deliver
it to the Sudbury Food pantry. The man in charge, Ed Gottman, 443-9233,
is thrilled to have our help and would like anyone who is collecting to
call him directly to make sure that someone is there to get the food.
The food pantry had hours many days a week, usually has someone there,
etc. but he wants to make sure that all efforts are made to help the
scout volunteers get the food in!
Please contact me with any questions-
See you Wed.!
Cathy
