a community service hours opportunity
Hi All,
We have a community service hours opportunity for one to two hours per week, or even once per month:
The Metro West Free Medical Program has been run out of the Congregation Beth El on most Tuesday nights for the last two years. They are located at 105 Hudson Road, opposite Twillingate gardens.
They are in need of a few people to help set up and break down the supplies for the Program each week they are open - which involves moving some boxes from a shed in the back yard into the building and setting up some folding curtains and exam tables.
The Program is run from 6:30 to 8:30pm, and they need people to help set up from 5:00 to 5:45pm, and or from 8:30pm when they close for about a half hour or however long it takes to put things away (about 1/2 hour or 45 min I’ve heard).
They would welcome any Scout and are happy to sign for service hours - and I will sign for anyone who goes as well. You just need to show up, one Scout has done this already, say you are from Troop 61 and are there to help set up or break down. They are Very appreciative.
Even if you are able to do this once a month, it would still be very much appreciated. If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me, or I’ll see you at the meeting on Wed night. Good luck and let me know how you make out!
Thanks,
Anne Fogarty
